Announcing the first semi-regular "Spiku" contest. Write a haiku for Spike (or any kid you love) and post it here. Winner gets a trip to Las Vegas. Or something else.
Dear Spike:
Today you are six months old. I wrote you a poem:
Spiku
Six months. Summer. Fall.
Now, with winter upon us,
Joy, my girl, such joy.
Love,
dad

So here's my attempt--not really about nature, unless you count the giraffes, but whatever.
Her smile melts my heart
Adores tall, long-necked giraffes
And walks with her dad
My unisex attempt because I couldn't resist the challenge, & it was cute for my son too! What a great idea.
so fast to grow up
with sunshine, rain, and kisses.
always bringing love.
Growing so fast
He loves runnning outside
Especially when orange leaves fall
As soon as I look up what a "haiku" is..I'll give it a try. LOL.
Thanks for the brain exercise this morning.
Hey dad look at me
A cute toilet-trained baby
Pretty Impressive, huh?
Spikecam brings such joy
I kiss my computer screen
Missing her much more
Grandma L
You just disappeared
Then the cupboard door opened
"Peek!" You surprised me.
Brown small and naughty,
Stealing leftover turkey,
To the pound you go.
