YOU'RE (STILL) SO SMALL

Dear Spike:

You're so small I can catch you in my baseball glove...

You're like a little pinapple...

And your tiny feet...

... are the size of my thumbs...

It's going to be a long time before you fit into my sunglasses...

You're the size of a wine bottle...

And smaller than a decent chuck roast...

But you're the biggest thing that's ever happened to me.

Love,
dad

Matt and Heidi:
Thanks so much for the beautiful photos and the journal. When your cousins were born the process was a bit more tedious and often just did not happen. Film had to be developed, printed, paid for and then sent in cards ( words had to actually appear on paper) That film was lovingly placed in a "holding area", a well-meant depository for future chores that ended up being a graveyard for film. Those undeveloped rolls of film that I could not bear to throw away ( but could not get processed) led to a desperate and guilty purging of the closet when I realized that now...there would be grandchildren photos to neglect. How wonderful that we can see such precious photos right now. In 30 years you will not have to ache over undeveloped film.
Blessings and love
Aunt Karen

Great pictures. I wanted to ask you something but don't see an email address for you. Email me at the address on my blog when you get a chance.

I LOVE this picture idea. I WILL steal that idea IF (and it is a mighty big IF) we have another.
